Hydrosols are created by steam distilling plant matter. Most people are familiar with witch hazel, rose water, or orange water. Those are hydrosols. Tiny molecules of essential oil are suspended in the steam and emulsified as the steam returns to liquid form. Not all plants contain essential oil, but we've found some interesting properties carrying over into the hydrosol - as in comfrey, for instance. Hydrosols are much safer and more sustainable than essential oils. We distill home grown herbs and weeds here on the farm, resulting in small amounts of beautiful hydrosols. They are kept refrigerated, and some are lightly preserved with alcohol (those are marked with *). The variety is ever changing. Packaged in 2 ounce spray bottles.
